The Benedictine Forum
for the exchange of information and ideas among disciples of St Benedict

The Benedictine Forum

The Benedictine Forum exists to further the exchange of information and ideas among disciples and friends of St Benedict, principally but not exclusively in the U.K. and Ireland. Membership is free and open to anyone with an interest in Benedictine life. The usual forum facilities are offered, including Private Messaging.

The public forums or discussion areas are currently
  • Rule of St Benedict: for study and discussion of RB
  • Vocation: for those discerning a vocation to monastic life
  • Liturgy: for study and discussion of liturgy and associated matters
  • Oblates: for Oblates and Associates and those living a Benedictine spirituality in the world
  • Rag-Bag: for anything that doesn't really fit elsewhere
  • Prayer Room: for requests for prayer (no discussions).
There is also a private forum for Vocation Directors/novice masters and mistresses. Other forums may be opened if there is sufficient interest.

Forum Rules

The Forum Rules are simple. Please be respectful in your posts and don't do to another what you wouldn't want done to yourself. The Moderators will edit or delete anything they consider to be contrary to charity or Catholic teaching.

Security

We take security seriously. Registration includes a confirmation process which must be completed if you wish to make any posts. Spam and other abuses will not be tolerated. If you are aware of any misuse of the Forum, please report it to Admin or one of the Moderators.
